Refund Policy

Last updated: 31 March 2026

1. Overview

ZenonAI offers a Pro subscription ($10/month) and accepts voluntary donations to support the continued development of Samantha, our open-source AI agent. All payments are processed by Paddle.com, who acts as Merchant of Record for every transaction. This means your purchase contract is with Paddle, and Paddle's policies govern all payment, tax, and refund matters. This page summarises how those policies apply to purchases made on zenonai.net and should be read alongside Paddle's Terms of Use and Buyer Terms.

2. Pro Subscription — 30-Day Refund Window

If you are not satisfied with your Pro subscription, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase. After the 30-day window, there are no refunds on unused subscription periods. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

To cancel future renewals, cancel your subscription through the billing portal link in your receipt email, or contact support@zenonai.net at least 48 hours before the next renewal date.

3. Donations — General Policy

Donations are voluntary contributions with no guaranteed return. Refunds for donations are provided at the sole discretion of Paddle and are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Paddle may refuse a refund request where it finds evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.

Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, ZenonAI does not independently approve or deny refund requests. All refund decisions are made by Paddle. To request a refund, please contact Paddle directly via paddle.com.

4. Consumer Right to Cancel (EU & UK Buyers)

If you are a Consumer (purchasing wholly or mainly for personal use), you have the right to cancel your transaction and receive a full refund within 14 days of completing the transaction, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify Paddle of your decision to cancel before the 14-day period expires. Contact Paddle via paddle.com. If you cancel within this window, Paddle will reimburse all payments received from you, no later than 14 days after being informed of your decision, using the same payment method you used for the original transaction. No fees will be charged for this reimbursement.

5. Automatic Subscription Renewals

Pro subscriptions renew automatically each billing period. Paddle will send a renewal reminder email before each charge. The right to cancel under Section 4 applies only following the initial subscription purchase and not upon each automatic renewal. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 48 hours before renewal.

6. Sales Tax (VAT / GST) Refunds

If you were charged sales tax on your purchase and are registered for sales tax in the country of purchase, you may be entitled to a refund of the sales tax amount, where permitted by applicable law.

To be eligible, you must contact Paddle within 60 days of completing the transaction and provide a valid sales tax registration number for your country. Refund requests received after 60 days from the transaction date will not be processed.

7. Faulty or Misdescribed Products

The above limitations do not affect your statutory rights as a Consumer in relation to products or digital content that are not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose. In those circumstances you retain your full legal rights regardless of any other provision in this policy.

8. How to Request a Refund

All refunds are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record. To submit a refund request:

If you have a general billing question or need help locating your transaction, you may also contact ZenonAI at support@zenonai.net and we will direct you to the appropriate Paddle support channel.

9. Governing Terms

This refund policy is supplementary to and does not supersede Paddle's Buyer Terms. In the event of any conflict between this page and Paddle's terms, Paddle's terms prevail. If you are a Consumer, you also retain the benefit of any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside.
